PRESENTATION OF DERMATHERM® LABORATORIES

Etablished in 2001, the CL TECH Laboratories design, manufacture and sell liquid agents for the biomedical sector.

One vision : responsible and ethical cosmetics.

Calling on his medical knowledge, Didier Lopez looked into the increase in skin conditions (allergies, diseases, irritations etc.) and the popular trend of going “back to nature”.

He also discovered the challenge that the sector’s industrialists face :

- On the one hand, they need to find the best “active ingredient” for the skin, which is precious  and the ultimate living barrier against the external environment.

- On the other hand, they need to use the most effective and economical preservation system to guarantee the safety of the product after it has been opened… i.e. chemical or natural preservatives.

In view of this, CL TECH Laboratories set out to develop a new type of cosmetics :

« We wanted to create responsible and ethical cosmetics that only contain ingredients that the skin can make use of. Its purity and effectiveness must be unquestionable. These new cosmetics will be tolerated by all skin types, even the most sensitive ones ».

It was in this way that the DERMATHERM® Laboratories, which are dedicated primarily to UHT sterilized care products for all skin types, even the most sensitive ones, were created at the start of 2007.

By the end of 2007, the DERMATHERM® Laboratories were awarded Ecocert certification and the Cosmebio label.

REVOLUTIONARY INNOVATIONS : COSMETIC UHT STERILIZATION.

The DERMATHERM® Laboratories have produced a revolutionary line of health care products offering a radical solution to the problem of preservatives.

COSMETIC UHT STERILIZATION.

After two years of research, Didier Lopez and his team devised a revolutionary manufacturing process that they then patented as (No. 2 902 660): cosmetic UHT sterilization.

Today this is the only way of eliminating preservatives or stabilisers, while still preserving the intrinsic qualities of the ingredients.

Manufacturing processes, UHT know-how

â–º Closely monitored manufacturing process

UHT sterilisation involves raising a product’s temperature to 135°C for several seconds and then cooling it just as quickly. The agri-food industry has more than 20 years of experience in this area (mainly for milk) relating to its effectiveness and its safety.

Two years of further research combined with EUR 1.5 million investment allowed the process to be adapted to all the galenic shapes of hygiene and beauty products.

â–º Safe conditions

The products are retrieved and packaged in a clean room under a ceiling of sterile light, thus guaranteeing that there is no risk of contamination after treatment.

The DERMATHERM® care dispensers were selected to protect the product.

They are opaque, have an “airless” dosage pump that doesn’t contain air a gas unit

which will not allow getting in once it is opened.

â–º Anti-microbial protective cap

In order to ensure maximum security for their products, the DERMATHERM® Laboratories have broken new ground with the production of an anti-microbial protective cap. This comes into direct contact with the dispenser nozzle each time that it is closed. However, it does not come into contact with the product and does not add anything to it.

A patent has been filed.

Effectiveness of the thermal water of Fumades-les-Bains (France)

Situated just 15 kms from the DERMATHERM® Laboratories, the thermal water of Fumades-les- Bains is the most sulfurated water in Europe. It has been approved by CPAM (French health insurance office) for its dermatological use.

Cures prescribed by dermatological and allergist doctors help treating : psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, eczema, lichen planus, pruritus, itchy skin, acne, seborrhoea and burn sequelae.

Known for its keratoregulatory, healing and disinfectant properties, thermal water action enriches the pure DERMATHERM® care products and replaces all of the water contained in the products.
